MySpace has surrounded the US community like crazy, but whatever the craze might be, this website did good as it helped the police in US to track criminals through the profiles in MySpace, which were there in the friends list of the victim who was raped by the criminals in a party.



The crime ranged from rape to robbery of $US40,000 ($A56,260) in electronics, jewellery, clothing and other items. As per detective Ali Bartley:

At some point, the victim was no longer aware of what was happening, and she was sexually assaulted. Primarily, we pulled up her friends list. It helped us identify some of the players
