A sort of self praise came out of Microsoft’s office when it said that it’s IE7 or Internet Explorer 7 has reached 100 million downloads. This info was shared by Tony Chor the Group Program Manager.
Although the majority of these downloads where upgrades to the existing IE6 and in reality the Explorer share in the market shrink by 1 per cent to 79.6 per cent while its immediate rival Mozilla Firefox market share grew from 13.5 percent to 14 per cent.
Although it’s too early to predict the IE downfall but still Microsoft will have to pull all stops in order to maintain the lead.
